The Artists’ Cookbook & Syria’s Vibes

Calvin & Andy

Syria’s Vibes was created by two Irish brothers – Calvin & Andy – and it aims to support doctors, ambulances and mobile clinics in Syria & Iraq. This year, in order to raise much needed funds for their work, they created a unique cookbook that features artists who have shared their love for cooking and creativity in both the kitchen and the studio. 100 Irish and international artists took part in the project by supplying a recipe close to their heart, alongside an artwork illustrating it. The result is a very unique cookbook – The Artists’ Cookbook. Contributors include Pauline Bewick, Padraig McCaul, PJ Lynch, Kate Beagan, Duda, Gordon Harris, Richard Hearns, Oisin Roche, Ludmila Korol, Ruth Ashenhurst, John Nolan, Paul Hughes and many more.
Proceeds from the book help support doctors working on the front line in Syria, and support a mobile clinic to tends to 12 cities in Syria & Iraq and a camp for displaced persons on the Iraqi border, offering life-saving care. So, if you would like to support this fantastic organisation then you can find out more and purchase The Artists Cookbook at Art Source 2017.

Graduate Show – Ballyfermot College of Further Education

We are delighted to welcome 5 graduates from Ballyfermot College of Further Education to Art Source 2017. They are recent graduates of the Fibre Art, Illustration and Animation faculties of the college.
These are the future stars of the Irish Art scene so we are delighted to offer them this opportunity to exhibit their work at Ireland’s largest Art Fair. We hope it allows them to gain some valuable experience which will help them to make a successful career from their artistic talents and skills that they have worked so hard to refine and develop with the help of Ballyfermot College of Further Education.
